Breast health nurse navigators are responsible for guiding patients with breast cancer through the system to ensure they get the care they need. The goal of this position is to guide patients through:

  • Treatment Options
  • Financial Support
  • Local Resources and Support
  • Emotional Support

Thoracic Nurse Navigator

Our thoracic nurse navigator is responsible for guiding patients with lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mesothelioma and other cancers of the chest through the health care system to ensure they get the care they need. The goal of this position is to guide patients through:

Our cancer genectics specialist is responsible for leading the Cancer Genetics and Risk Assessment Program at Northside  Gwinnett. The goal of this position is to provide cancer risk assessment and testing for hereditary cancer syndromes through a comprehensive genetic risk assessment, including:

  • Genetic Counseling
  • Detailed Personal and Family History Consultation
  • Physical Examination
  • Cancer Risk Assessment
  • Risk Reduction Planning
  • Cancer Risk and Prevention Education

Our oncology dietitian is responsible for providing nutrition education to cancer patients during treatment, survivorship and palliative care. The goal of this position is to optimize nutrition intake during treatment and improve quality of life through:

  • Monthly Group Nutrition Classes
  • Cancer Prevention and Health Workshops
  • Individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy
