Welcome to My Personal Page
Three years ago, my world changed in an instant. A routine doctor's visit led to the words that everyone fears the most: "You have breast cancer." In that moment of overwhelming fear and numbness, I couldn't see past the diagnosis, and I didn't know how I was going to find the strength to survive.
But I quickly learned that I wouldn't have to fight this battle alone. The incredible team at the Northside Hospital Suburban Hematology and Oncology stepped into the ring with me. From the compassionate nurses who held my hand during treatments to brilliant doctors like Dr. Siva, and Dr. Leslie Ross who guided my care with precision, Northside became my anchor. They didn't just treat my illness; they saw me, supported my family, and gave me hope when it felt out of reach.
Alongside my medical team, I was blessed with an incredible community closer to home. My work family at Hog Mountain Animal Hospital completely rallied around me. Over the past couple of years, they didn't just support my employment—they truly helped me heal in ways medicine couldn't, restoring my spirit through their unwavering kindness, flexibility, and daily encouragement. Today, they are moving from a support system to an active partner, standing right by my side to help raise money and champion this cause.
Today, three years later, I am proud, humbled, and deeply grateful to say that I am a breast cancer survivor. I am alive because of advanced medical care, the grace of community support, and the dedication of healthcare heroes and loved ones alike.
To give back to the institute that saved my life, I am participating in the Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, October 17 at the Gas South District. As the largest 5K supporting breast cancer awareness and care in Gwinnett County, this event has raised more than $3.8 million since 2016. The funds raised go directly toward providing advanced 3D mammography technology, life-saving screenings, and essential comfort items for local cancer warriors going through treatment right now.
I am walking to celebrate my three years of health, to honor those who are still fighting, and to ensure that the next person diagnosed has the same world-class resources that I did. But I need your help to reach my fundraising goal. 100% of the proceeds stay local, making a tangible difference for families in our community. Whether you can contribute $10, $50, or simply share my page with others, every single donation brings hope to someone in their darkest hour.
Thank you for standing by me then, and thank you for helping me paint Gwinnett pink today!
