Dear Family and Friends,

In October 2016, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation treatment. For a while, everything seemed to be going well. However, in 2020, a CT scan revealed a suspicious spot under my arm that was confirmed to be cancerous. Fortunately, my new treatments have been effective in keeping me in remission, but my fight—and that of many others—continues. 

Though this journey has been frightening at times, I have been truly blessed by the support of my family, friends, and healthcare providers.

On October 18, Ray and I will again participate in The Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer to raise money for Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Gwinnett. I’m doing this because they provide much-needed, compassionate, personalized patient care, cutting-edge treatments, and technologies.
