Welcome to my Personal Page. Cancer has affected my family in multiple generations. I imagine there is not a person who has not been affected through a family member, friend, or from their own personal challenge.
I lost my precious brother to lung cancer (as a non-smoker) and my Godmother, and cousin, to breast cancer. My amazing Mom battled uterine cancer, and I am blessed that she is still with us and is a spitfire taking on the world! I also have a sister-in-law who had breast cancer, came through it, and is still here loving life! I have seen that lives can change and be saved through the right treatments and support, but we all have a part in helping to make that happen.
I am walking to support those whose lives, and their families' lives, could benefit from the important work being done. I am not an athletic person by any means (I mean, for real), but it was time to put on those sneakers and do something! How can I not?
